MIke Debruit

Hello,

I own a car repair shop in Whitby. I have been quite busy lately with the snow and all, but what is bothering me is that a lot of my invoices are still unpaid. I keep sending letters to my customers and I get nothing. How can I make them pay?

Thanks

Mike

Dear Mr. Debruit,

The best way to procede with collecting unpaid bills is to file a case with Small Claims Court in your province. Look here for more free information about Small Claims Procedure: http://legalcanadacommunity.co…..Resolution

I had similar situation to you. I have a dry cleaning / laundry business with several contract clients – some paid on time but there were a couple – one was my largest client where they defaulted time and again. I ended up going through a dbt collection agency because I'd heard it was uch faster. They did a good job and it was worth paying their fee – i think going through the civil courts is too time consuming when you have a business to run. The company i used is DCF in Missisauga. their number is 416-256-1551 and the best bit I only had to pay their fee once the money was collected so you can imagine the effort they put in.  Laugh
