Michaela

Hi, i have been a citizen of Canada for 6 years now and have been with my husband for many years, i met and married him when i was 30. He has been making unreasonable demands on me lately, i feel that this is totally unacceptable.

I feel that i have no option but to seperate from him and find myself a more mature partner,  i would like to sue him for slander……please advise.

Thankyou for your help

Dear Michaela,

If you feel that your husband has made unacceptable demands on you, the best thing to do is to separate from him. According to the Canadian law If you have lived apart from your partner for over one year this is enough evidence under Canada Divorce Law to prove that the marriage has broken down.
