Dear Mr. Lebrune,

Many courts hold ‘First Attendance’ meetings in the Provincial Court where you can walk in and meet with a prosecutor to discuss your case or ask for advice. For example, if you have received a ticket for not showing your driver’s licence or insurance document, you can present your document to the prosecutor at a First Attendance meeting held to resolve issues such as these. As long as the documents you present prove that you were in possession of valid documentation at the time you were issued with your Provincial Offence Notice, you will not be required to pay any fine.
