Hi, I need a legal edvice for a very nasty situation. I had a car accident last month just outside Toronto and I have full car insurance. When I contacted the insurers, they said they will not pay because of some legal stuff I did not inderstand. I have contacted the responsible authorities and they said I had to go through mediation with the insurers. What does that mean?

Dear Debby,

Mediation is the best procedure to resolve any existing conflict in Canada. It means you and the insurers will sit together and state your problems and then an independent person called mediator will help you reach an agreement.
