My landlord is trying to evict me because i haven't been recycling – can he really evict me for a trivial matter like this?

The truth is that your landlord cannot evict you for not recycling!! however he can evict you for causing a disturbance, destruction of property or causing other tennants to be disturbed. So be cautious as it may become personal and the landlord may make it a point to win (eviction)
