Yesterday my landlord changed the locks and today me, my wife and 3 kids  – one is a baby- have nowhere to go. There is snow on the ground. Is he allowed to do this?

If your landlord has given you no prior warning about a problem resulting from your tenancy then he is breaking the law. You should get in touch with your local Resiential Tenancy Board by clicking the link here

Residential Tenancy Board locations, Canada

They will be able to advise you on the most efficient course of action.

Are you up to date on your payments? Have you had any discussions with your landlord that may indicate this was going to occure? Have you ever been served with notice of any kind?
