Hi,

 I have this problem, my landlady wants me to pay her a deposit of $ 700 and my apartment's rent is only $200 a week. Is this legal?

Dear Brian,


You are right, she is cheating. She can only collect $ 200 as a deposit. Read more here and if you can not reason with her, contact the Residential Tenancies Board :
