Hello

I have been married for 10 years and whilst my husband has been mentally cruel to me he has never been physically abusive. But last month he wanted to read some messages on my cell, he forced it from my hands and has left a bruise on my arm which is a clear print of his index finger. Our marriage has been strained for a long time, but what i want to know is whether this is classed as an act of doestic violence and should i bring it before the courts?
